Oh … I feel so sad posting this but …

Our daughter is now 19. She has resorted to finding her birth family. I actually support this as I feel that everyone needs to know their roots and where they come from. If they don’t then I think there is an open wound. However, I also worry. In our case our daughter has looked for support to her birth dad. Whilst I recognise the roots, he is also the person that went to prison for sexually assaulting several of her sibilings of both sexes. That worries me greatly.I don’t want to hurt her but worry that he will be already grooming her baby daughter.

I hope that many post adoption stories are better than this, but also know that many aren’t. Please let me know and post answers – what is the answer, what should we do ?
